RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Three children and two adults were taken to an area hospital for treatment after the van they were in was struck by a car whose driver didn't yield to the van.
Richmond Police said the children in the van weren't properly restrained, so charges are pending against the van driver as well as the driver of the car.
The collision happened around 6:40 p.m. Thursday on Chamberlayne Avenue near Westwood Avenue in North Richmond.
Richmond Police were on the scene by 7:25 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Chamberlayne and Westbrook avenues in north Richmond. Pictures from the scene show a Dodge RAM van and a Dodge Neon sedan, both with significant front-end damage.
