Possible tornado in Hanover, Sat.

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

There were reports of a possible tornado that touched down in Hanover County, Saturday evening. 


This happened along Route 301 near the Hanover County Courthouse.

This storm affected all of Central Virginia. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch Saturday for the following areas:


It included the following counties: Accomack Brunswick, Caroline, Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Essex, Gloucester, Greensville, Hanover, Henrico, Isle of Wight, James City, King and Queen, King George, King William, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, New Kent, Northampton, Northumberland, Prince George, Richmond, 
Southampton, Surry, Sussex, Westmoreland, and York. 

The following cities were included in the watch: Caroline County, Chesapeake, Colonial Heights, Emporia, Franklin, King William, King and Queen, Hampton, Hopewell, Newport News, Norfolk Petersburg, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Richmond, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg.
