DAY AHEAD: Funeral service for SC Senator, Rev. Pinckney

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC/WWBT) - Funeral arrangements have been set for the South Carolina senator and pastor of the Mother Emanuel AME Church, Rev. Clementa Pinckney.

Pinckney's funeral service is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at the TD Arena on the College of Charleston campus. Burial will be held directly after the funeral at St. James AME Church in Marion.

NBC12 will provide a live stream of the funeral, including President Obama's eulogy, on and through the free NBC12 News app.

Pinckney, a state senator who represented South Carolina Dist. 45, was one of nine people killed by a gunman Wednesday night following a bible study in the church.

Born July 30, 1973 in Beaufort, the 41-year-old was a graduate of Allen University and the University of South Carolina. He graduated from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in 2008, according to his state government biography.

Pinckney is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and two children, Eliana and Malana.
