RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The suspect in the stabbing of a Sussex pastor and his wife has been arrested in Richmond, the Richmond Police Department confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Maxim Chisholm is now in custody following a traffic stop on 18th Street in downtown Richmond.
Officials say Chisholm, 21, lived with the victims from time to time. They say he stabbed the couple, stole around $800, and took off with their blue Ford Escape, VA tags XTX-6239.
Chisholm may have ties to the Chesterfield area. He faces two counts of attempted murder, one count of breaking and entering, one count of robbery, and one count of larceny of a motor vehicle - all felonies.
