VCU Police arrest 2 for post-graduation fight

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Virginia Commonwealth University Police arrested two people -- an adult and a juvenile -- after a fight broke out Wednesday afternoon outside the Siegel Center just after a Henrico high school's graduation ceremony had finished.

The fight was still in progress when VCU Police arrived around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, following J.R. Tucker High School's graduation ceremony inside the Siegel Center earlier in the day. Officers initially detained five people, and later charged two of them.

Darius Wilks, 18, of Henrico, and a juvenile male are both charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, VCU Police said Wednesday night. The charges are misdemeanors.

VCU Police said people who where involved in the fight were examined and treated for minor injuries by EMS personnel.
