RVA Dialogue shares Richmond-area voices on same-sex marriage

With the Supreme Court poised to make a ruling in a landmark same-sex marriage case, a new project aims to gather the opinions of people in the Richmond area.

While news coverage and polls have covered the topic, people in Central Virginia may not have had a chance to share their voices or hear what others in the area have to say. So, NBC12 is partnering with Alan Newman Research and JMI to give people in Metro Richmond a chance to speak out and hear from others.

A survey is available right now at NBC12.com/RVADialogue, or on the NBC12 News app. It takes about ten minutes and asks questions about same-sex marriage, as well as how and if it's connected to religion and politics.

The survey will be available through Just 21. On June 24, a live discussion on the topic will be held at NBC12 and streamed online for the public to and weigh in.

The goal is to get a better sense of where our community stands on this important issue and foster a dialogue to help better understand the topic.
