MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - For a Gold Star Mother, the tour of duty never ends. In case you aren't aware of who they are, American Gold Star Mothers are an organization of mothers who have lost a son or daughter in service of our country. They've been working since 1928 do a great service for veterans and their families. Now they are recruiting you to help out.

Gold Star Mothers are teaming up with Bumpus Harley Davidson for the fourth year to raise money for the organization. So far together, they've raised $52,000 to help veterans during the annual "Tour of Duty."

The benefit is, of course, aimed at bikers, but anyone can help out and donate to the Tour of Duty IV. For $20 dollars you get a T-Shirt and a passport. The idea is to visit all of Bumpus' dealerships across the state and get your passport stamped before July 25th. On Sunday, July 26th at Mousetail Landing State Park there will be a big party for all of those who participate. Everyone who visits all five locations will be entered in a drawing for a $2,500 gift card.

If you don't ride, you can still help out and make a donation. The rules don't say you have to ride a bike to the dealerships. And if you don't want to do visit them at all, you can still donate, get a cool t-shirt and go to the party. All of the proceeds go directly to American Gold Star Mothers.
