Richmond Police investigate overnight shootings, robbery

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police are investigating two overnight shootings - one on Snead Road, the other on Jacquelin Street. They are also investigating after two people rob a woman at gunpoint in the Fan district.

The first shooting happened around 2:40 a.m. Monday in the 5000 block of Snead Road, near Francis Elementary School. The victim was driving when he was hit.

Police say 20 minutes later, two suspects shot someone during an attempted armed robbery in the 1700 block of Jacquelin Street, off of Idlewood Ave. The suspects reportedly took cash and ran away.

In both cases, the victims went to the hospital. They are expected to be okay.

And around midnight, two people robbed a woman at gunpoint in the Fan district. This happened on Grove Avenue, just a few blocks away from the Retreat Hospital.
