RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The man accused of shooting a Richmond police officer is due in court Thursday.
Tamar Harris is scheduled for a motions hearing this afternoon. It follows his competency evaluation to determine if he's fit to stand trial.
Harris allegedly shot Officer William Turner several times in a Fulton neighborhood back in January. A Richmond grand jury has indicted Harris on charges of attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
