Richmond police pursuit ends in crash

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A police pursuit through south Richmond Wednesday night ended in a crash that sent the passenger of a car to the hospital with minor injuries.

Richmond Police said the pursuit started at 21st and Keswick streets around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, and ended at 16th and Hull streets when the vehicle police were chasing hit a tree and a trash can.

Richmond police said a Virginia State attempted to stop the driver for illegal window tinting. The suspect had an outstanding warrant, according to police. He's facing multiple charges including felony eluding police.

Police took the driver into custody. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
