A series of thunderstorms left thousands of Dominion power customers in the dark on Monday afternoon.
As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, just about 300 people are still in the dark after a line of storms hit the area. Most of those still affected are in Henrico with 156 people in the dark, and in Richmond, where 94 are without power.
At its peak, more than 8,500 were without power, according to the Dominion online outage center. By 5:30 p.m. the number had dipped to 8,200 in the Metro Richmond area with more than 5,000 in Hanover, around 2,000 in Henrico and 1,000 in the City of Richmond impacted.
