Report: UVA Medical Center monitoring possible Ebola case

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (WWBT) - Doctors at the University of Virginia Medical Center have confirmed they are treating a patient with Ebola symptoms, according to a report by WVIR NBC29.

According to the report, the patient is isolated in a special unit within the medical center, after being brought in late Sunday night following a trip to West Africa. The patient is being isolated as a precaution, and the health system told NBC29 that the patient has had no known exposure to Ebola.

Nevertheless, UVA is working with the Virginia Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
