Dinwiddie fatal crash victim identified

DINWIDDIE, VA (WWBT) - Virginia State Police have identified the victim in a single-vehicle fatal crash in Dinwiddie Sunday evening.

State Police said Aaron C. Bonner-Cox of Dinwiddie died at the scene of the crash on Vaughan Road. Bonner-Cox, 25, was not wearing a seat belt, according to State Police.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Vaughan Road, half a mile south of Plantation Drive in Dinwiddie. Investigation revealed that a 2002 Toyota was traveling south on Vaughan Road when it ran off the road to the right, overcorrected left, then back right, running off the road hitting a tree and overturning twice ejecting the driver.

Speed is being considered a factor in the crash.
