Richmond man charged in Gilpin Court shooting

Police have charged a Richmond man in connection to a shooting last Sunday afternoon in Gilpin Court.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Davon Parrish on Monday.  Parrish, 25, of the 200 block of W. Baker St., was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.

Parrish has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Other charges are pending.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. on April 12 in the 1100 block of St. John St. One victim, an adult male, suffered a single, non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was treated at a local hospital.
