Hanover man charged for shooting brother in family dispute

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) -

Authorities have charged a Hanover man in relation to a shooting that wounded the suspect's brother Thursday morning.

Jessie Lee Lacy, 50, is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, shooting within an occupied dwelling and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Lacy is charged in connection an incident that Hanover authorities responded to around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 10000 block of Pleasants Circle in Doswell. When they arrived, they found the victim, Charles Lacy, 52, and took him to VCU Medical Center. Authorities described his injuries as non-life-threatening.

Shortly after authorities arrived at the scene, they also took the victim's brother, Jessie, into custody. He is being held without bond at Pamunkey Regional Jail.

    The Hanover County Fire and EMS says the plane slid to the right and off the runway after its landing gear broke.
