HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - The Virginia Department of Transportation says all lanes of Interstate 95 North have reopened in Henrico following a crash Monday afternoon just south of Interstate 295.
Traffic is still backed up for 5.5 miles.
The crash, reported around 2:20 p.m. Monday, happened on I-95 North just south of Interstate 295 at mile marker 84. The right and center lanes remain closed.
VDOT has begun rerouting traffic, starting at Powhite Parkway (Rt. 76) until further notice. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route. To avoid tolls, drivers can take Powhite Parkway west to Charter Colony (Rt. 754).
Travelers should expect delays.
