When it comes to raising kids, no one has all the answers.
NBC12 is launching a new project to help bring Richmond parents together to help each other out. RVA Parenting aims to answer the tough questions and create a community of parents to support one another.
One of the new mothers in our newsroom --Sarah Bloom -- wonders how anyone manages to manage the demands of being a working parent.
"When it comes to parenting, we have so many responsibilities," said Bloom. "The days fly by and the chores always seem to pile up. So how do you get things done, but also make time for yourself?"
We posed the question on the NBC12 News Facebook page and parents had some great ideas.
We also brought in Mommy blogger Carissa Garabedian with Macaroni Kid Richmond to get a few tips for making the time, and overcoming that Mommy or Daddy guilt.
"It is so important to remember that you're not going to please everyone around you. You are not going to get everything done," said Garabedian. "And at the end of the day if you feel good about what you've accomplished, and you've found a few minutes to make it ok, the rest will all fall into place."
So, how do you manage to balance it all and make time for yourself? Let us know on the NBC12 News Facebook page.
