Curtain Call consignment sale opens this weekend

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Sometimes it takes that one special item to change the entire look of a room and you can get upscale items for less. The Curtain Call consignment sale is where fancy meets frugal.

"Luxury, high end consignment home decor," said Angie Furbee, co-owner of Curtain Call.

This year is the largest in 18 years, with more than 5000 items that can fit anyone's budget.

"Everything, from small $3 items all the way up to over a thousand dollars," said Furbee.

A thousand might sound like a lot, but not when you consider the original price of these custom-made window treatments.

"The price on this was over $6,500," said Furbee. "The price that we have it? $575."

You'll save 50% to 90% off retail on bedding, furniture, lamps and art. All of these fabulous items come from designers, retailers and consigners.

"You're getting something custom at a lesser price," said Furbee.

Many pieces are one of a kind, like a wine bottle chandelier or an antique British bar. The room is filled with a wide range of decorating styles.

"Baroque, neo-classical to funky cool eclectic," said Furbee.

Plus a huge selection of children's items.

"From bedding, to headboards and footboards, to little rocking horses and chairs and dressing tables," said Furbee.

A new Williams and Sherril set retailed for almost $5,000. Here, they're only $1,400.

"This rug here was never used," said Furbee. "It retailed for over $7,000, and we have it for sale...a little over $900."

Sturdy curtain rods for $15, bolts of fabric for $10, $55 bed frames. Special made tiebacks..90% off. Curtain Call's customers always leave this sale smiling.

"They are absolutely amazed and they can't wait until the sale next year," said Furbee.

Curtain Call opens to the public Saturday at 11 a.m. on the corner of Patterson and Pump in Henrico.
