NEW KENT, VA (WWBT) -

All lanes of Interstate 64 east in New Kent reopened around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday after an earlier deadly crash.

State Police identified a woman killed in the crash as Jennifer P. Wilson, 43, of Richmond was killed in the crash around 9:22 a.m. near the Emmaus Church Road exit at mile maker 211, troopers said. Tractor-trailer driver Ira Vestal was charged with reckless driving in the crash.

At the time of the crash, traffic was slowing due to a disabled vehicle a few miles further east. A tractor-trailer slowing down hit a pickup truck, which then struck a van, investigators said. The pickup truck ran off the road and the tractor-trailer then struck the van. It continued and hit a work truck, then pushed Wilson's car into another tractor-trailer. Wilson died at the scene, according to State Police.

The driver of the work truck was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other drivers were injured.
