CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Chesterfield Police say two suspects are in custody, but a third suspect is still out there after a murder-for-hire plot that left one man dead at an auto sales business.
Police are still looking for Arshad Mahmood in the death of Adel Elmadany. Mahmood is a Pakistani national, 5'6" tall and weighs about 148 pounds. He has brown eyes and gray hair. Mahmood is considered armed and dangerous.
Melvin Leonel Sandoval Vasquez, 24, and Narciso De Jesus Lemus Mendoza, 25, are charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Police arrested Vasquez in Washington, D.C. on February 12, and Mendoza in Manassas, VA on February 27. They are both being held in Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
EMS personnel found Elmadany dead at the Three Amigos Auto Sales at 108 Turner Rd. on January 24.
Friends and family described Adel Elmadany as a warm and charitable man, making Friday's update on the case welcomed the news:
"People are feeling that justice has been served and the police did their job," says Muslim community leader and Elmadany friend, Dr. Imad Damaj.
