Breaking at 11pm: LIVE team coverage on wind damage, forecast and power outages

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Snow and wicked winds whipped through Central Virginia Saturday night, leaving close to 40,000 Dominion Power customers without electricity as an Arctic front moved across the area.

Wind gusts topped 55 miles per hour, as the storm brought down trees from Hull Street Road in Chesterfield to neighborhoods across Charles City County.

Wind chills are expected to fall into negative temperatures during the early morning hours Sunday.
