RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police arrested six juveniles in connection with a fight at John Marshall High School last week.
The charges stem from a fight last week which sent five staff members to the hospital. Police say it began when a Petersburg teen visited a girl who went to the school. The girl and another female student got in a fight, which the Petersburg teen then joined.
A staff member suffered a heart attack while trying to break up the fights, according to sources. Four other staff members were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Petersburg teen was charged with two counts of simple assault, disorderly conduct and trespassing. Four other juvenile females and another juvenile male, all from Richmond, also face charges ranging from felony mob assault, to inciting a riot, and other lesser charges.
Police say more arrests could be coming.
