The Virginia Tech football season will kick off with a tough match up against defending national champion Ohio State at Lane Stadium on Labor Day.

The 2015 schedule unveiled on Thursday includes a season ending trip to Charlottesville to play rival University of Virginia and a Friday night home game against NC State.

  • Sept. 7 vs. Ohio State
    • Virginia Tech was only team to beat Buckeyes in 2014
  • Sept. 12 vs. Furman
    • First meeting since 2008 
  • Sept. 19 at Purdue
    • First game between teams 
  • Sept. 26 at East Carolina
    • Pirates won 2014 game 28-21 
  • Oct. 3 vs. Pittsburgh
  • Oct. 9 vs. NC State
  • Oct. 17 at Miami
  • Oct. 24 vs. Duke
  • Oct. 31 at Boston College
  • Nov. 12 at Georgia Tech
    • Only Thursday night game is away this season
  • Nov. 21 vs. North Carolina
  • Nov. 28 at Virginia
