Sheriffs: Missing Stafford teen may be in danger

STAFFORD, VA (WWBT) - A 17-year-old left his Stafford home on Wednesday evening and hasn't been seen since.

James "Daniel" Marston was last seen in the Potomac Creek Estates neighborhood off the 700 block of Belle Plains Road near Vance Way, according to sheriffs. Sheriffs say he suffers from mental health issues, which is why they are concerned.

He is described as 6'1" tall, 155 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a plaid jacket.

K-9 units, search and rescue teams and a Maryland State Police helicopter searched for Marston overnight. The search is continuing Thursday.

Police have not said why they believe the teen may be in danger.

Authorities ask anyone with information on James' location to call the Stafford County Sheriff's Office at 540-658-4400.
