Smart hopeful Graham will play Friday

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Shaka Smart isn't ready to commit to Treveon Graham playing in VCU's game at Saint Louis on Friday.

The senior guard continues to nurse a sprained ankle he suffered last Tuesday at Rhode Island. Graham finished that contest, and Smart expected him to play in Saturday's game at Duquense heading into pregame warm-ups. However, Graham's ankle stiffened up at the last minute and he was a late scratch from the line-up.

Smart says if there's one thing he knows about Graham, it's that he'll play if he feels he can.

Graham is averaging 17.1 points per game, which is good enough for third in the Atlantic 10. He's also tenth in the league with seven rebounds per outing.

The Rams look to extend their ten game winning streak on Friday at Saint Louis. The Billikins are 9-9 on the season, 1-4 in Atlantic 10 play. They've lost five of their last six games.
