RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A house fire in Richmond's East End is now under investigation.
Crews say around 2:43 p.m. Saturday units responded to a fire in the 4500 block Maverick Avenue. They say they arrived to heavy smoke coming from the chimney and attic.
It took about thirty minutes to get the fire under control, but everyone made it out safely. Right now, the extent of the damage is unclear, but officials say it appears to have started in the attic.
