RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - VCU has confirmed that Treveon Graham suffered a sprained ankle in Tuesday night's 65-60 win at Rhode Island.
The senior guard suffered the injury early in the second half, but was able to return. Despite the bad ankle, Graham put the Rams on his back, scoring 16 of his 26 points in the final 15 minutes of the game, and helped VCU overcome a nine point deficit to secure the win.
The Rams hope Graham will be ready to go this Saturday when VCU visits Duquesne. The senior is averaging 17.1 points per game, good enough for third in the Atlantic 10. He also pulls down seven boards per outing, which is 9th-best in the league.
