Happening today, voters will head to the polls for a special election for controversial Delegate Joe Morrissey's seat. The 74th District seat is up for grabs but not everyone is eligible to cast their ballot this time around. Morrissey is running as an independent. He will be on the ballot against Democrat Kevin Sullivan and Republican Matt Walton, who is a teacher at Glen Allen High School.
Weather Alert: A bit chilly today but prepare for a wintry mix tomorrow. Andrew has details on the forecast that could include snow.
We have a traffic alert that could impact your morning commute. In just a few hours, part of Three Chopt Road near Forest Avenue will be closed while crews repair a water main. We're told no one in the area should lose water. This repair is expected to last until Friday.
Right now, the man investigators say shot a Richmond Police officer is out of the hospital and in jail. After doctors released Tamar Harris from VCU Medical Center Monday evening, police took him to the city jail. Police say Harris shot Officer William Turner earlier this month -- before the officer fired back, injuring Harris. This morning, Officer Turner is in good condition.
