Freeman storms back for win, Collegiate falls at home

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - The Douglas Freeman boys basketball team advanced to the championship game of the Rebel Holiday Tournament on Friday night with a 53-47 win over J.R. Tucker.

The Rebels overcame a 30-17 halftime deficit to come back and secure the win. They'll face Steward on Saturday in the tournament title game.

In matinee action, Collegiate fell to Norfolk Academy, 53-40. The Cougars trailed by ten at halftime and would pull to within seven points in the second half, but a Norfolk surge at the beginning of the fourth quarter put the game out of reach.
