LOUISA, VA (WWBT) - A 20-year-old Louisa man is behind bars in connection with a deadly New Year's Eve hit-and-run.
People called in tips to Virginia State Police after the crash which killed Jason King in the final hours of 2014. Troopers were able to track down Corey M. Hall on Thursday evening and charged him with felony hit-and-run. They also seized his car as evidence.
People who live near the scene on Route 605, also known as Willis Proffitt Road, said King was staying with friends in the area and had just left the home moments before he was hit.
King was the father of several children and loved playing baseball.
