RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The search for a bomb inside a City of Richmond office building is over, and city employees are returning to work.
Authorities said three bomb-sniffing dogs searched a 10-story City of Richmond office building where a bomb threat was called in Wednesday morning.
The building at 730 E. Broad Street in Richmond houses several city offices, including a call center that takes questions from Richmond residents. Authorities said someone called the call center Wednesday around 9 a.m. and issued a bomb threat
Announcing the bomb threat around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Capitol Police issued an alert requesting Library of Virginia staff and visitors remain inside the building, due to a bomb threat near the Virginia State Capitol.
