North edges South again in Big River Rivalry

ASHLAND, VA (WWBT) - For the second straight year the North all-stars beat the South all-stars by one point at the Big River Rivalry.

The North team won the game 28-27 after stopping South on a potential go-ahead two point conversion try with less than thirty seconds remaining on the clock.

This is the second year of the annual senior class all-star game played at Randolph-Macon College.

Quarterback Dashaun Waller from Armstrong was named the North team MVP while Manchester quarterback Daniel Rose was honored as South team MVP.

Waller scored the eventual game-winning touchdown on a QB sneak with 1:45 to go.

Down by seven, Rose threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to Petersburg's Gemonta Jackson with thirty seconds to go to bring the South team within a point.
