RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Police have identified the driver of a Jeep in a deadly crash Tuesday night on Jahnke Road.
Marquis Morgan, 50, of the 2400 block of McDonough Street, died at the scene of the accident.
Richmond Police said the crash happened around 8:09 p.m. near the intersection of Jahnke and Spruance Roads. According to authorities, the driver lost control, crossed over the center line, collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound, then sheared off a utility pole and rolled over once before coming to rest against a tree. Morgan was ejected from the Jeep, and authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
The woman driving the second vehicle was not injured, police said.
Jahnke Road was reopened around 7 a.m. Wednesday.
