RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Celebrating a birthday can be even sweeter if you cash in on freebies at some of your favorite shops.
"For breakfast I went to Chick-fil-a on Parham Road, because you get a free sandwich when you show your ID," explained blogger Tiffany Cutts. "I got a free drink at Starbucks for my birthday. For lunch I went to Firehouse Subs and for dinner I went to Red Robin and dessert Baskin Robbins."
All of that cost Cutts absolutely nothing and these are just a few examples of the dozens of freebies you can get on your birthday. Many shops offer free meals or money to spend in their store when you sign up on their websites.
Emails started pouring in days before the Diva of Discount's birthday. This week alone she got a free Big Barbecue Sandwich from Dickey's, then a wonderful bowl of chicken stir-fry from Genghis Grill. And it's not even her birthday yet!
What's nice is many of the coupons don't expire until a few weeks after your big day.
She wanted to try Kona Grill, now she has a good excuse to go with a $15 gift certificate.
Cutts takes advantage of other retailers offering deals, like a free CK One mascara at Ulta which retail for $18. She also got $10 to spend at Old Navy and Victoria's Secret.
"So, I can find something for $10 and use the coupon and get it for free also," Cutts said.
Tiffany receives many by mail, allowing her to cash in for just getting a little older. In all, it added up to around $100 in freebies.
