Delegate Joe Morrissey is expected in a Henrico courtroom. Morrissey faces felony charges stemming from an alleged inappropriate sexual relationship with a teenage girl. Morrissey said he will not resign from the Virginia House of Delegates despite the charges. The pre-trial hearing happening this afternoon at 2pm.
Today a grand jury is expected to decide whether or not to charge a New York City Officer accused of choking a man to death. Eric Garner, who was unarmed, died in a police choke hold in July after being arrested. The medical examiner later ruled the death a homicide. New York City leaders fear the decision could trigger similar protests to what's happening in Ferguson.
If you can't get enough of those bright, festive lights, don't miss the 30th Annual Grand Illumination at the James Center. Friday, the giant tree, reindeer, and downtown Richmond office buildings --- all come to life with thousands of lights. Several guests will be on hand when the event kicks off at six p-m.
