HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Henrico County spokesman Andy Jenks said Wednesday night that ongoing electrical repairs at Henrico High School mean students will get another day off Thursday.
"Unfortunately, efforts to rebuild a major electric panel destroyed on Tuesday will not be completed in time for us to guarantee electricity and heat to the entire campus, as we had hoped," Jenks said. "The installation of a replacement electric panel is a skilled task requiring an installer who possesses certification as required by the building code. Then, the installation must be approved by inspectors. We are hopeful the issue will be resolved within another 24 hours."
Teachers and staff are still expected to report on time.
