CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Kenny Williams voiced his intent to play college basketball at VCU back in August with a verbal commitment. Tuesday morning, he made it official, signing his National Letter of Intent with the Rams during a ceremony at L.C. Bird High School.
The Skyhawks' senior shooting guard signed his name with family, friends and teammates in attendance. He officially becomes part of a talented 2015 recruiting class for Shaka Smart and VCU.
Williams said after the ceremony that it's a little overwhelming to think that he's officially a VCU Ram. He says his relationship has grown with his future teammates since his verbal commitment back in August. He's close with several of the current VCU players and speaks with them regularly.
Williams tips off his senior season on December 3 when L.C. Bird travels to Cosby.
