GOOCHLAND, VA (WWBT) - President Obama will meet with about 100 superintendents from around the country - one of whom is from Goochland.
James Lane, Superintendent in Goochland, will attend the "ConnectED to the Future" event to be held on Wednesday. The event brings superintendents and educators together to discuss the transition to digital learning, building on the plan President Obama announced in 2013.
The initiative focuses on connecting students to high-speed internet and empowering teachers with technology.
Over $4 billion has been committed to the initiative since President Obama's call to action, according to officials at the White House.
