MIDLOTHIAN, VA (WWBT) -
Manchester is one win away from its first 10-0 season in program history, but to get there, the Lancers will have to take down one of the area's powerhouses, as L.C. Bird visits to close out the regular season in our On the Sidelines Game of the Week.
The Lancers were the last Dominion District team to beat the Skyhawks. That win came back in 2011, but that was also the only time in the last ten years Manchester has a win in the series. It was also the only time in the last decade the Lancers have put up more than 14 points against Bird.
Manchester head coach Tom Hall calls the Skyhawks everybody's "measuring stick," and they have the credentials to back that up. While Manchester is 9-0, L.C. Bird is 8-1 and is 37-1 since the beginning of the 2012 season.
