RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond elementary school student is expected to be OK after being hit by a car after he left his school bus Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened at the intersection of Accommodation and Spotsylvania streets. The 6-year-old boy, who wasn't identified by police or school officials, was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses said the boy left the bus and darted into oncoming traffic as the bus waited for parents to pick up their children.
No charges are expected to be filed against the bus driver or the driver of the car that hit the boy.
