GOOCHLAND, VA (WWBT) - Virginia State Police said the driver of a car that crashed along Interstate 64 East in Goochland Monday afternoon is charged with reckless driving following the crash, which still is causing traffic delays.
Christopher Jackson, 36, of Mineral, was transported to VCU Medical Center by med-flight with non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt, state police said. The passenger, Floyd Jackson, 62, also of Mineral, was transported to VCU Medical Center by med-flight with serious injuries. State police said the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.
State Police said Christopher Jackson was driving a 2007 Lincoln SUV east on I-64 when it ran off road to the left, went down an embankment and struck a tree. The tree then fell into the roadway striking another SUV, causing minor damage to that vehicle.
