Manchester's Pendergrass fractures fibula

MIDLOTHIAN, VA (WWBT) - Manchester junior running back Justin Pendergrass fractured his fibula during the Lancers' 26-0 win over Cosby Friday night, according to head coach Tom Hall.

Pendergrass will see an orthopedic surgeon on Monday to determine the severity of the fracture and will find out if he can return at any point during the playoffs. The running back was putting together one of the best seasons of any player in the area at the position, scoring 17 touchdowns in seven games during the campaign.

Hall says Pendergrass put together a terrific offseason to prepare for the 2014 slate. He's helped lead the Lancers to their best start since 1953 at 7-0. Manchester hosts George Wythe on Friday its next time out.
