RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A globe trotting grandmother says she always has a suitcase ready to go on another international aid mission.
Her neighbor says she's is always moving, always giving. That's why we're giving this super septuagenarian our Acts of Kindness recognition.
For nearly 50 years, the tree-lined streets of Ginter Park have been Bobbi Smith's home base, where she keeps her treasures from three decades abroad.
November will mark Smith's sixth mission trip to Haiti. She pays her own way, traveling with a team of missionaries from Richmond's St. James Episcopal Church. Smith, a registered nurse, provides and teaches first aid. But when she's not practicing medicine, she's doing construction.
