Hermitage shuts out Thomas Jefferson in series finale

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The visiting Hermitage Panthers shutout Thomas Jefferson 42-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers jumped all over the Vikings with two first quarter touchdown passes from Eli Odom to Christian Harden.

The Vikings and Panthers have played each other every season for the last 63 years but the two schools decided to suspend the rivalry going forward.  Differing school enrollments have upset the competitive balance between the programs.

There is no plan in the immediate future to resume the series.
