Often, I am asked, "Why don't you show more good news on TV?" It's a fair question that I want to address. Actually, all of the TV stations in Richmond air good news, but today I want to specifically discuss what we do. Good news can sometimes be in the eye of the beholder or one's interpretation of "good" news.
Here are some examples of the good news that we have shared with our viewers, and the good news is that we do these on a regular basis. Segments like: Acts of Kindness with Sabrina Squire, 12 On Your Side with Diane Walker, The Restaurant Report with Heather Sullivan, Focus on Faith with Karla Redditte, 12 About Town, The Health Report, NBC12 Investigates, and most importantly your Call 12 Center, and that is just to name a few.
This does not include the numerous daily news stories and features we air about first responders, ordinary citizens doing extraordinary things, our regular features on rescued animals and our 12 About Town promos that support the mission of non-profit organizations.
You should know that as a member of this community we don't rest on our laurels and we are always looking for more opportunities.
But you know what, we can never do enough, so next week I will talk to you about something new that I would like to do with my commentaries and I just may need your help.
