RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A person claiming to be a juror in the historic corruption trial of former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, says the laws and facts of the case were taken seriously.
The person, using the name Robin Trujillo, messaged the NBC12 News Facebook page to share the message.
"As a participant. .. the law and the facts were taken seriously," the post reads.
The Facebook account also contained a publicly viewable comment about the proceedings.
"After six weeks of silence and many many tiring days I am finally legally able to talk about being on the jury for the trial of the VA governor [sic] and wife and as of today it is finally over. Our decision was reached today," the post reads. "I have to say it was the hardest decision of my life. Even though the law and facts were the basis for our decisions it was so very difficult to experience the reactions of the govenor and family. Just very relieved it is over."
