WASHINGTON, D.C. (WWBT) - Singer Chris Brown reportedly pleaded guilty to an assault charge in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday morning, but will spend no jail time for the misdemeanor.
Brown was sentenced to time served and apologized to the judge in Superior Court, reports NBC Washington. It was his third attempt at a plea deal to resolve the case.
In January and again in June, Brown rejected plea deals on a misdemeanor assault charge in an October 2013 fight outside a Washington hotel. At the time, Brown was on probation in California for a 2009 attack on his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
