A Colonial Heights police officer shot an armed woman after a chase. Home surveillance video shows the woman speeding up a driveway with the officer following. Investigators say the woman got out of her car in the backyard and showed a gun. Police say the officer told her to drop her weapon and then fired. She was rushed to the hospital.
A medical center in Napa, California says it's had to treat some people for broken bones and heart attacks following Sunday's early morning earthquake that ruptured mains and gas lines and left dozens of buildings unsafe. The magnitude 6.0 tremor was the strongest quake to shake the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989.
Governor McDonnell returns to the stand again today in day 21 of his corruption trial. Friday he testified that he and former First Lady Maureen McDonnell lived separate lives while he was in office.
