Hanover Co. officials okay rezoning for proposed subdivision

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A new Hanover County subdivision is another step closer to reality. The county planning commission recommended the rezoning approval for a 62-acre, rural piece of land off Studley Road. That area would be designated for homes instead of agriculture. The developer is hoping to build 142 houses, along with a playing field, playground, pavilion and pond. Hanover's Board of Supervisors will ultimately have to approve the project.
