McDonnells' defense begins today in corruption trial

The defense begins presenting its case today in the corruption trial of former Governor Bob McDonnell and former First Lady Maureen McDonnell. Governor McDonnell is expected to take the stand at some point, Maureen McDonnell is not.

Missouri's governor has ordered the National Guard to Ferguson, as it continues to be rocked by protests over the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teen. Police used tear gas to clear protesters off the streets well ahead of a curfew last night.

Firefighters had to battle a fire in a warehouse on Carolina Avenue in Henrico at 1:15 this morning. A fire broke out under a conveyor belt. No one was inside at the time.
